# Card Size for Trello Card Size by Screenful is a Trello Power-Up that allows you to set weights (e.g. hours or story points) for your cards to estimate how much work each card requires. The estimate is shown in the card front. It’s a simple board utility that is free and runs entirely within the Trello UI. Size them! ### Step 1: Add the Card Size Power-Up to your board You can activate this add-on from the Power‑Ups section in the Trello menu. Just go to the IT & Project Management category, scroll down to [Card Size by Screenful](https://trello.com/power-ups/5cd476e1efce1d2e0cbe53a8/card-size) and add it to your board by clicking the Add button. ### Step 2: Select what is shown in the cards Select what information is shown in front of the card, and in the back of the card. You can choose to show size, spent, and remaining work. ### Step 3: Assign estimates to tasks To assign an estimate for a card, simply click 'Card Size' from the right menu, and enter the estimate to the input field. If you like to track how much work is done so far, you can also enter the time spent working on that task. The remaining work is automatically calculated for the card. ### Step 4: See estimates in card front and back Depending on your settings, the estimate, spent, remaining - or any combination of them - are shown in the front of the card, and in the back of the card. ### Step 5: See totals per list, assignee or label When you open the Card Size menu, you'll see a list of assignees with the total amount of work assigned to them. Yes, you can choose to show any combination of size, spent, and remaining as badges in the front of the card and in the card details. You can select the badges by clicking Settings in the main menu. ### What is Card Size by Screenful? Card Size by Screenful is a simple add-on for Trello that allows you to assign weights for the cards in your Trello board e.g. for estimating how much work is involved in a piece of work. Alternatively, you can choose to view totals per label or per Trello list. ### Do I need Screenful account when using Power-Ups? No. Screenful account is needed only when using the [Analytics & Reports](/content/trello/index.html) product. When using Power-Ups, you are authenticated using the Trello login. ### Can I automate the Power-Up with Trello's automation tool? Unfortunately, Trello's automation tool does not support 3rd party Power-Ups, so you can’t automate them. --- ### Troubleshooting - **Check your internet connection:** The Power-Up needs an internet connection to work. If your connection is interrupted or slow, the Power-Up may appear to be working, but it may not be able to update data on your boards. - **Reload the page:** If your internet connection has been interrupted or slow, that may have an effect on the Power-Up functionality. Reload the page (Trello board) to make sure that the Power-Up has recovered from interruption. - **Try reauthorising the Power-Up:** Click on the Power-Up in Trello main menu and follow the reauthorization steps. - **Disable browser extensions:** Some browser extensions may interface with the Power-Up functionality. Log out from Trello, disable all or some browser extensions and log in to Trello again. - **Clear your web browser's cache:** Clear your cache and check for errors to improve performance. - **Make sure you are using supported software:** Ensure you are using a supported and tested browser.
